Overhead Conductors

ACSR Conductor (ASTM B-232,B5 215-2,EN-50182)

Aluminum conductor steel-reinforced cable (ACSR) is a type of high-capacity, high-strength stranded conductor typically used in overhead power lines. The outer strands are high-purity aluminum, chosen for its good conductivity, low weight, low cost, resistance to corrosion and decent mechanical stress resistance.

AAC-ASTM-8 All Aluminum Conductors
(ASTM B-231,B5 215-1,EN-50182)

AAC are a refined Aluminum stranded conductor with a minimum metal purity of 99.7%. It is principally used in urban areas where spacing is short and the supports are close. It can be used in coastal regions owing to its high degree of corrosion resistance and is also used extensively within the Railway and Metro industries.

AAAC Conductor (ASTM B-399,B5 3242,EN-50182)

This conductor is made from aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy of high electrical conductivity containing enough magnesium silicide to give it better mechanical properties after treatment. These conductors are generally made out of aluminium alloy 6201.
